Allison
Rossett
Dr.
Allison Rossett, Professor of Educational Technology at San Diego
State University, was the Year 2000 inductee into the elite Training
magazine HRD Hall of Fame. Allison has offered keynote speeches
in this country and abroad about technology-based performance and
learning, engagement in online learning, and needs analysis. Rossett
has authored three prize winning books: First Things Fast: A Handbook
for Performance Analysis; Training Needs Assessment; and A Handbook
of Job Aids. She has published dozens of articles, edited journals,
offered seminars in companies around the world, coached and advised
business and government leaders, evaluated programs and managed
corporate contracts and federal and state grants. Her article, "Confessions
of a Web Dropout," published in Training magazine in August, 2000,
points at the critical issue of persistence in online learning.
Rossett is the editor of the forthcoming McGraw Hill-ASTD 2002 E-Learning
Yearbook.
