Evaluation Copy and Desk Copy Policy

If you are a teacher, instructor, or professor, you can request evaluation copies and desk copies of Pfeiffer or Jossey-Bass products. Please use the following guidelines.
90-Day Evaluation Copies
If you are an instructor and would like to consider a book for classroom use, we will send you a billed ninety-day evaluation copy for review. We will cancel the invoice on notice that an order for at least ten copies is forthcoming or if you return the book. To request an evaluation copy, please click on the "Request evaluation copy" link that appears on this Website's individual product information pages. You may also fax or e-mail your request using the contact information provided below. Please note that instructor's manuals are for adopted texts only and cannot be reviewed as evaluation copies. Many videos and large sets are also not available for review. If you are requesting an evaluation copy from outside the U.S. or Canada, please contact your local distributor.

Desk Copies
Please mail or fax requests for desk copies, on letterhead, to:

Be sure to include:
the course name and number
when the course will be taught
the name of the professor(s) teaching the course
confirmation that your college bookstore has ordered a minimum of 10 units for use as a required text
the name of your college bookstore or purchasing office (if available)
the date of the order (if available)
We will provide one (1) desk copy per ten (10) units ordered by the bookstore. Note that many videos and large sets are not available as desk copies and that e-mail or online requests will not be accepted for desk copies.
